We had some amazing fog and light out here in the cove this morning. I hung Huxley’s diapers up to dry and enjoyed the ethereal glow.

Your line (and your land) look lovely. I pine for a clothesline, which might be an unusual thing to pine for, but no matter.

so great, astonishing light. i adore a clothesline. we're leaving for the summer, so i haven't put mine up yet – must enjoy my mother's. there's something so beautiful and right about a clothesline. contentment, groundedness.

Your home is just gorgeous Ashley! I'd love to see a home design book or landscaping book from you. Thanks for keeping me in great ideas.

thanks so much for your thoughtful comments, everyone. i tend to only see all of the undone, unfinished projects out here, so it's so refreshing to hear praise about our digs!
