Outtakes, Books, and Woots, Oh My!

I’m tired of saying that I’m crazy busy. While completely true, it’s not really want I want to be talking about with you on here. Instead, I’m going to give you a bit of proof of said harried life as of late. The image above is an outtake from a recent shoot for the cover of Handmade Gatherings (Roost, 2014). The final cover image has yet to be decided but will likely be firmed up sometime in October. This image above, that didn’t make the cut features some of my favorite people, sipping booze and nibbling on pimento cheese. Good times.

AND, Handmade Gatherings (or, “HG” if you’re me, although I never say that out loud, the way no one really says “Woot!” in real life) now has a release date! April 8th, 2014, this book that I am so, so very fond of, and proud of, and imminently pleased with will be a real deal! Woot (which I never say in real life, per above)!!!!!!!

So very exciting…another Ashley English book! This summer has been the “summer of Ms. English pies.” I made the Blueberry Refrigerator pie twice in the past two weeks…twice. Looking forward to next summer being the “summer of Ms. English potlucks.”

So cool! I’ve been canning my way through your recipes this summer, so maybe inspired gatherings are next?

But, if you were married to a gamer (like me) you’d definitely say and hear w00t out loud all the time. Go for it, it’s fun for all occasions 😉

  • Nicole says:

Yay, I love your books. I made the peaches and cream pie this past weekend and have used many of the canning recipes.

  • Congratulations to you on the new book! I have no doubt it will be as amazing as the others. :)

    The cover looks terrific! Congrats!

Congratulations Ashley. Now that I am back in the States I will be able to pick up your pie book and eventually this new one. I keep thinking that I should buy one and have it mailed to you so that you can sign it. But that would be a whole lot of shipping postage!

  • You’re writing books faster than I can read them. You’re freaking amazing!!! Next on my list is PIES!!!! I should be up to date by April and ready to buy HG(though I won’t say it that way aloud either!!!)

Your latest book title is captivating! I am looking forward to reading it. Take care and thank you for making time to share.
