A Peck of Pickles

The season of the pickle is upon us! Stumped for recipe ideas? The genius folks at Saveur magazine have rounded up “22 Perfect Pickles” to tantalize your palette. Check it.

I also have first-hand knowledge of another great source of pickling inspiration….

Your book is what taught me how to pickle, and now I'm hooked. I've made pickled okra, bread & butter slices, spicy dill, and look forward to experimenting more as the markets have more of Summer's bounty to offer up. I've found they made great gifts and potluck offerings. Thanks for the link!

oh, thank you for that. in my short time preserving, i still have not attempted pickling, and it's partly because i always seem to be traveling when pickling cukes are at their best in canada/uk where i split my time! i have no excuse now. xx
